Today is my daughter's birthday. She's 6 years old....my, how time flies. I can still remember when she was running around here saying, "Mama, juice peas!"....or "Mama, I want noonoos!" (noodles) Too cute. The day she was born, it was hot. Wait a minute, that's not even the word for it. It was FREAKIN' hot! It was the hottest summer since anyone can even remember with temperatures above 40°C or 104°F. The kind where you really don't "want" to go outside. Thank heaven for air conditioning in the maternity ward, at least while I was having her. I chose to have a water birth and it was fascinating pulling her up out of the water by myself. I think my first words were: "You're SO tiny, oh my goodness!". She really was, only 2700 grams, but boy, did she have a voice on her! She came out just screaming away...and continued to do so for the next six months (colic and teething). We still catch her temperament flare like that at times. ;-) She should be a really fun teen. LOL
Jenna wanted rollerblades for her birthday, so that's what she got. What color may they be? You guessed it, pink! No other color will do for her. She's ALL girl, I can tell you that! I hope this pink phase ends soon. *g*
So here she is in her new rollerblades...unfortunately, it happens to be raining today (yesterday is was warm & sunny, go figure), so she can't use them yet, but she will. :-) Happy Birthday Jenna, my big girl!!!
