Another cool Photoshop Elements Trick

Woahhh.... I'm really loving experimenting with photoshop elements! I used a technique from the current issue of AdoBe Photoshop Elements Techniques magazine and it turned out really cool! It's called the Orton Style.  It gives the photo a somewhat painted look... just dreamy! Check it out!

Love Always - A Wedding Layout

Yeah, I'm so proud of myself for sticking with one subject for once instead of doing a thousand different things (like a typical ADDer)! I made another wedding layout using the other half of the patterned paper that I used to cut out the shape on my "Perfection" layout.  It's not as elegant as the other one, but that's just fine with me. I don't want one layout to look exactly like the other! :D This was really so easy to make too! A few flowers, brads, stamps and there ya go!  It's all about where you put them that matters, right?

Another Wedding Scrapbooking Layout

Hello all... I'm a bit frustrated at the moment and it's times like these when it feels really good to scrap.  So, I decided to continue on with the wedding photos.  I really have to get them done anyway and a DT challenge to use decorative scissors, so that is what I did.  And this is what came out of it.

Wedding Layout & One Day with Daniel

Although lots of these layouts are Design Team work, I'm so glad, because it gives me a "push" to get something done! Sometimes I'm not inspired, unlike this weekend! I've been busy.  I finally got another wedding layout done....it's really taking me long enough *g* and finally used the crystal swirls that I've had for awhile.....and another "day with danny" layout where I included some of the funny things he's said and our daily struggles of getting out the door and other things...

My Introduction to Basic Scrapbooking Class

Yesterday I held an introduction to Basic Scrapbooking class and although I had just two ladies (need to work on some of that marketing) we had a great time.  We all enjoyed ourselves and they made some very cool layouts and cards! Check it out! (click on photos to enlarge)

That which moves me...

I was asked to make a layout on that which moves me.  I could probably have made several layouts, but I made just one with a few subjects that move me...

So, here goes:

I'm very moved by the presence of Obama. I believe he has the power to make changes and to establish himself as one of the best presidents the United States of America has ever known.  That is my honest to goodness belief.

Rüdiger Nehberg is a brilliant man with a big heart. He's a Human Rights activist, especially tribes and children that cannot help themselves.  He founded TARGET for human rights and has made progress (along with Waris Dirie) with the Islamic Heads to stop the mutilation of young girls (children). In November 2006, TARGET organized and financed a conference under the patronage of the Eygyptian Great Mufti Ali Gomaa at Al-Azhar University of Cairo. As a result of the conference, leading authorities of Islamic law denounced genital mutilation.

Aretha Franklin to me is one of the most spectacular singers in the Motown world and each time I listen to her voice, it moves me, again and again. What can I say...:D
