Okay, here goes... 7 random facts about myself

1. I have no sense of smell (lost with the mumps)
2. My favorite ice cream is Baskin Robbins peanut butter & chocolate (believe me I would kill for this...)
3. I am "obsessed" with scrapbooking (geez, can ya tell?)
4. I can't stand my natural hair color (dirty blond....yuck)
5. I only drink tea when I'm sick
6. I could eat noodles on a daily basis
7. I never skipped school until the very last day of high school (when it was permitted)

So...there you go.... 7 boring facts about me. If anyone feels the need to do the same, then consider yourself tagged! ;-)

Okay... now for something funny!

A few months ago we went to a beergarden and my co-worker Maren came along and took random shots of the kids. Some pretty funny ones came out, including the below.  They all went nuts when they saw the camera. Go figure....

First broken heart... :-(

Out of all of the memories to record, this is not one of my favorites. Yesterday I posted the wonderful picture Danny drew for the little classmate he's got a crush on, Charlotte. Well, today I asked him how she liked it and he said,_ "She didn't want it."...I said WWWHHHAAATTTT??? ...I asked if he'd opened it and shown it to her...he said, "No, mom, I asked her twice and she just didn't want it." I felt my heart sink. I know he was feeling pretty bad, but was trying to play it off. I told him there are plenty of other mothers with pretty daughters. He says to me: "Yeah, but there are more ugly ones than pretty ones." I thought I was going to fall off my chair laughing. Now, I know where his genes come from....the one and only, my hubby. So typical. Now, I know it's not a nice thing for him to say, but it was funny nonetheless. I felt really bad for him. After all that he said... "Maybe we should go buy her a present." My poor baby... I told him to just ignore her and that she wasn't worth it if she didn't even want to look at the pretty picture you drew just for her. What a little. /()&&(/$%&$&/()( . Had to get that out of my system....he's my BABY...ya know?!

Puppy Love....

Danny went to school today with gel in his hair, making sure not to mess up his hair by putting on a hat. But, he said, "Charlotte didn't notice my hair, mommy"..."I guess I have to try it with a present." (I repeat, he's 6 1/2 years old!) So, I suggested he draw a nice picture for her....and this, is what he drew... ;-)

That's Charlotte, next to some blue & pink flowers and the tree does not have apples, but hearts...it's a love tree. And this was his idea, can you believe it?? We're going to have lots of fun when Danny hits puberty. ;-)

I hab a code....can you tell?

I hab a code = I have a cold...."Mommy, why are you talking so funny?" - "Because I hab a code, dat's why."  wah, wah, wah... that's right. I'm here to complain. As soon as the cold weather hit, there goes Jackie getting sick again. I'm like....no WAY! First of all, I'm working three jobs right now at work, because two people are out on vacation and I'm juggling and trying to get things done within the 75% that I'm working.

So, now, I hab a code.. just great. So, then I come home from a totally stressful day, go to pick my son up and he's bouncing off the walls like a freakin yoyo.  When he went to Kindergarten, they went outside a lot and he got plenty of exercise. Well, now he's in school and has to sit still all morning. I'm going to have to get him involved in some sports activities or else he'll drive me completely insane. Doing his homework takes three times as long as it should, because he's constantly distracting himself and now he's already "in love"....6 1/2 and the kid is eyeballing the goods already! Her name is Charlotte..and he thinks she's just sooo pretty and he actually said "I'm in love with her, but I can't tell her mommy...or else the other kids will laugh at me." During his homework he kept saying..."Oh man, I keep having to think about Charlotte!" ..."I can't concentrate!". We're talking 3 days he's known this girl, okay? Then he says, "Mom, do I look cool? I have to look cool you know. Can we put gel in my hair tomorrow morning? Charlotte will be amazed when she sees me!". Now, I have to tell you I had to keep from laughing, because he was just cute as a pumpkin telling me about his puppy love girl. Too funny...

Anyway...hope the code goes away soon...

P.S. I need y'all to help me out with a decision here. A while ago I decided to get myself an SLR for my birthday in November... a Canon SLR. But now there's a Scrapaganza weekend taking place in Holland in November, which would cost the same as the camera. So, now I'm in a rut....Should I get a camera or should I have a fun weekend in Holland with other wonderfully creative ladies, lots of classees and goodies? HELP me out here! I have no idea what I should do, but I gotta decide fast or else it's going to fill up. Anyone have suggestions? Sure appreciate it!

Yeah for my friend Deana!!

Great news! My friend Deana is now on the same design team as I am, yeaaahhhh! I'm so excited, because we've been emailing back and forth for a little while and this lady has really got some talent, let me tell you!!! I'm so excited for her and plus she's getting published as well! What a coincidence! I just love it!

So, everybody say yeahhhhh for Deana!!! :-) We're going to have a lot of fun!

Danny's First Day of School...

YEAHHHH!!! I can't believe it! About 12 of my layouts will be published in the next issue of Scrapbook News & Review online magazine! And they would like to feature me in their Reader Spotlight! I'm so excited! It comes out on the 13th of September....that's Saturday already! I'm totally psyched.

I made a few more cards for my shop and some for personal use. Yes, I know, I'm sick...I really should be seeing a shrink about my compulsive obsession for making cards of late. lol But, if I don't make them for my shop, then there will be nothing to buy. Make sense? That should cover it... :-) Plus, I'm having SO much FUN doing them!

I've been dying to take photos of the shop to post to my weblog, but I have to ask the owner when she comes back from vacation.  Hope she says yessss!
