Crop Day at Scrappiness.de

I went to an afternoon crop of scrapbooking and fun with a table full of fun gals at Scrappiness and I had a blast. Best of all....I was able to create 3 whole pages and a card. I was sooo proud of myself. When I'm at home, there's the computer and I get all caught up in surfing and there goes my time to scrap, so this was great....check it out.  Can't show you the card though....cuz it's a secret...psssstttt.. tomorrow is hubby's birthday! He'll be 41!

   
   

 

Layout Makeover "Jenna's First Food"

While on vacation, I thought about a lot of old layouts I did. One of the first ones I completed was one with Jenna and her first real food eating experiences. Looking back now, it just seemed very blah and boring to me, so I decided to give it another go. I used some of the same elements, but this time used patterned paper matching the food theme, another photo of Jenna, chipboard letters, an "apple" for journaling and some orange paint around some of the edges to add depth and match the mess on Jenna's cute little face. :-) I do believe I like the new one better. :-)

Variation of quick card

And you can also try this variation. Try moving the pieces around before you adhere anything. You would be surprised at what you come up with! After all it is YOUR creativity we're talking about here! :-)

Quick Card Sketch

As a way of thanking my landlady for jumping in to watch my little girl (she got sick) while I took my son to an appointment, I made a card for her. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it before I gave it to her, but I've made a little sketch. If you ever need a quick and simple card....this is soooo easy.  All you need is cardstock or a card, buttons or flowers, patterned paper, adhesive, ink and a pen. Check it out!

We're back from vacation in Turkey and had a fabulous time. The weather was warm, the hotel was great and the service was fantastic! I can only recommend it.  While on vacation, I was listening to my all-time favorite singer, the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin....which inspired me to design this digital layout..take a look.  Vacation photos (layouts) to follow! Scrapbooking Event with T-Scrap, Simea & Monique McClean

OMG! What can I tell you. I have had such a wonderful weekend scrapping away beautiful designs inspired by Tanja from T-Scrap, Simea and Monique McClean from Scrapbook, etc. The latter came all the way from Alabama to teach us two course and it was sponsored by Heidi Swapp!!! Super cool! I have lots to show you....coming soon. But now, it's time for bed. Night, night!!!
